Aircraft Systems and Manufacturing, Inc. (ASM) was a prominent company specializing in avionics systems integration and engineering services for the aerospace industry. Founded in 1987, ASM developed a portfolio of over 100 FAA-approved Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and provided engineering designs and manufactured hardware for more than 50 aircraft platforms worldwide.
In November 2016, ASM was acquired by JANA, Inc., an engineering and technical documentation services company, to enhance JANA's certification and integration engineering capabilities. Following the acquisition, ASM continued to operate under its original name until June 2021, when it was rebranded as JANA Engineering. This rebranding signified the full integration of ASM into the JANA family, aligning with the company's strategic goals established during the acquisition.
Under the JANA Engineering name, the company continues to serve the aerospace industry, focusing on operators, commercial carriers, component OEMs, airframe OEMs, and MROs. Their services include FAA Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) services, STC certifications, avionics integration design and engineering, fabrication/assembly and kitting capabilities, and 24/7 Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support.
