ADVANCE FLYING ACADEMY
Airline training programs vary depending on the role you’re interested in. Here are some common types:
1. Pilot Training Programs
- Cadet Programs: Airlines partner with flight schools to train aspiring pilots from zero experience to commercial airline pilots. Examples: American Airlines Cadet Academy, Delta Propel, Lufthansa Cadet Program.
- Ab Initio Training: Some airlines train pilots from scratch under their own program. Examples: Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines.
- ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) Certification: Required to become an airline captain, obtained after completing flight training and gaining experience.
2. Flight Attendant Training
- Airlines conduct their own training, usually lasting 4–8 weeks, covering safety procedures, emergency handling, and customer service. Examples: Delta, United, and Emirates offer in-house training.
- Some independent programs exist, but most airlines prefer to train their own crew.
3. Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) Training
- Airlines hire AMTs who complete FAA or EASA-approved programs at aviation schools.
- Some airlines offer apprenticeship-style programs.
4. Dispatcher and Operations Training
- Flight dispatchers coordinate airline operations and need FAA certification. Some airlines offer training or require candidates to attend an accredited school.
5. Corporate and Leadership Training
- Airlines offer management training programs for business, logistics, and customer service roles.
