ADVANCE FLYING ACADEMY
There is no maximum age limit for holding a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), but there are restrictions for airline pilots:
- CPL Holders (General): As long as you pass the required medical examinations (Class 1 Medical Certificate in most countries), you can continue flying commercially.
- Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Holders: United States (FAA): Maximum age 65 for airline captains and first officers. European Union (EASA): Maximum age 65 for commercial airline pilots. Other Countries: Many follow the 65-year limit for airline pilots, but some may have different regulations.
After reaching the age limit for airline operations, pilots can still work in charter flights, cargo operations, flight instruction, or other non-airline commercial roles, as long as they maintain their medical certification.
