ADVANCE FLYING ACADEMY
There is no maximum age limit to start flying lessons, but the minimum age depends on the type of flight training and country regulations:
- Introductory Flights & Dual Training (with an instructor): No minimum age in most countries.
- Student Pilot Certificate (Solo Flight): United States (FAA): 16 years old (14 for gliders) Canada (Transport Canada): 14 years old for gliders, 16 years old for powered aircraft United Kingdom (CAA - EASA rules): 16 years old India (DGCA): 16 years old Australia (CASA): 15 years old European Union (EASA): 16 years old
You can start taking lessons at any age, but solo flying requires meeting the minimum age requirement. Many people begin training around 14-16 years old.
