1. Collective down. RPM 60- 70%.... FRICTION ON

2. Cyclic and pedals Neutral.... Friction ON

3. CHT Drop.............. THROTTLE CLOSED 



4. Clutch switch............ DISENGAGE 






    5. Wait 30 seconds........ MIXTURE OFF






6. wait 30 seconds........ APPLY ROTOR BRAKE 




  7. Clutch light........... EXTINGUISHES 





8. Avionics, ALT,  Battery, and ignition switches................ OFF 




CAUTION 

Do not show rotor by raising collective during shutdown. Blades may flap and strike tailcone 


NOTE 

During idle and after engine shutdown, pilot should uncover one ear and listen for unusual noise which may indicate impending failure of a bearing or other component.


NOTE

HYD Switch should be left ON For startup and shutdown to reduce possibility of unintentional hydraulics -off. Lift- off. Switch off.  Only for pre-takeoff controls check or hydraulics off training. 


NOTE 

Rotor Brake should be left engaged after shutdown to disable starter buttons and reduce possibility of unintentional starter engagement.
